Perfect owners manual
|
| by Diana from Peyton, Colorado |
| After following the instructions in this book for the first 3 years of my horses life, I can now truthfully say the book is the perfect owners manual. We are selling this fine young gelding and its nice to be able to have an instructional printed format that anyone dummies included can read, learn and practice on this horse to have success in the future. A+ job on a book well written. Good on ya, mate. |
Ideal Class Notes
|
| by Ellen from Winslow , AR |
| I attend a 3-day Clinton Anderson horsemanship clinic as a spectator this past Spring. The best 3 days and money I have ever spent on anything horse related. I was so busy paying attention to everything going on that I didnt take notes. After I got home, trying to recall everything and all the important tips was difficult. Fortunately, I had purchased this book a few years before at a Walkabout Tour and realized it is like a perfectly organized, beautifully illustrated set of class notes. I have spent the summer starting my young mare undersaddle and this book provided the perfect step-by-step guide through basic ground training. It works extremely well as a follow-up to the 3-day Series One clinic. |
Changed My Relationship With My Horse
|
| by Erin from Mio, MI |
| My husband bought me a gelding for Christmas who had been retired the previous four years. He had no intentions of being ridden and threw me off a couple of times, injuring me pretty badly and destroying my confidence. Clintons book is so easy to follow, and the progression of the training so well done. I am a total novice to horse training, but my horses attitude has changed since we began working through each exercise, hes showing a willingness to work and I can finally get back on him. I love working with him and I love the exercises in the book. This book in invaluable and I cant recommend it highly enough to any horse owner. |
How To
|
| by Jayne Cascarelli from Westcliffe, Colorado |
| This book is an organized and beautifully illustrated reference guide. Clinton tells you what to do, not do and why. Common horse problems are included so anyone with any kind of horse issue will know what to do when it doesn't quite work. This book is a must-have for anyone who is interested in improving their horse skills. |
My First Step
|
| by Lisa from Westminster, Colorado |
| This book was my first step into Downunder Horsemanship. From only the book I started my pushy gelding on the exercises and found it to work wonderfully. After 6 months I am on GWS 2 and RWC1; and loving every day of it. I still have the book to which I lend out to people who have never heard of Downunder. |
Establishing Respect and Control

| Great information and impressive pictures in an easy to read format. I especially liked the comments from the two participants so that I could learn from their successes and mistakes. A great reference book that everyone should include in their collection. |
Great book!!!

| This book was my first introduction to Clintons method. I absolutely love his description on the behavior of predators vs. prey. It really makes sense. I especially enjoyed his descriptions of the exercises and the trouble-shooting tips. The comments of the lovely ladies that he used for the book were very inspiring and helpful. The entire book was well-written and easy to follow. |

| Didnt have the funds to invest in the DVD series and I had just started to hear about Cliniton in H & R Magazine. So I decided to start with the book and see if I could actually do some of this stuff with three new horses that had been badly neglected. Let me just tell you it should have been titled "The Idots Book to Gaining Respect and Control On the Ground." Clinton makes it so easy to do it. I especially love the problem solving at the end of each step. We will be investing in the DVDs. |
Brilliant intro to DUH

| by Alice from Kingaroy, Qld Australia |
| 4 Years ago I purchased this book, when I was having particular trouble with a young horse. The great lay out and easy to follow instructions were a real life saver. My horse went from pushy and disrespectful, to a willing partner very quickly. A brilliant way for anyone to get into the method without a major outlay. Thank you again, and also brilliant photography. |
