Success Stories
Clinton,
Two months ago I came out to your ranch and attended a 10 day Series 1 and 2 clinic. My goal in going to your clinic was to fix me. I didn't have enough of an education to be an effective teacher or leader to my horse. Alot of people told me my horse was such a good horse, but I still felt something was missing. I found it at your clinic. When I left, I was able to be the driver with my horse, and still have him be soft, supple and more willing. The softness impressed me, it was fingertip touches! I was so happy.
After I got home I worked on keeping up and maintaining our lessons, and working on new ones. Our biggest job was to hustle those feet. I wasn't good at the clinic at rollbacks or the four leaf clover at the canter, so that's something we did alot of. Cantering. I found out, a week ago, I had no clue the true value of my clinic.
I had to put my first horse down, because he fell and hurt his spine while I was riding, and was afraid of cantering since then. I was getting bolder with practice and more confident just as you said.
Last week on my horse Slyder, I was doing a pretty fast canter and went around a turn. Slyder lost his footing and fell flat on his left side. My leg was pinned under him and stuck in the stirrup. I landed on my chest and arms. I was scared and had the breath knocked out of me. Thanks to all of the work, you showed us how to do, my horse did not panick! He rolled to his belly and stayed there. After I got my foot out of the stirrup, he finally got to his feet, and stood at my side trying to check me over.
I came away from a very scary accident with only a severely sprained ankle and bruises.
So now I know how priceless my clinic really was. I could have been hurt so much more if my horse had panicked, jumped up and ran.
When I am all healed, I plan on getting right back to the lessons and continue our education!
Thank you Clinton and Shana for all that you two did at our clinic! You are the best!
