Fundamentals Series Update Filming: Students Needed

0114_01

A few months ago, we shared with you that because Clinton is always adding to his knowledge and finding ways to improve the Method, we’re working on adding some updates to the Fundamentals Series. We also asked you for any suggestions you might have to improve the series, and based on Clinton’s tweaks and your input, we’re in need of some equine students for Clinton to work with on camera.

What We’re Looking For:

Your horse knows the Fundamentals groundwork and riding exercises, but he’s a little lazy or reactive about doing them or not quite giving you his best effort and you don’t know how to get him to reach a B+ or A level. Clinton will work with your horse to demonstrate how to get a horse to go from the “Teaching Stage” of an exercise to the “Do It Now Stage.”

How to Apply:

  • Fill out and submit an application, which includes a short video of you and your horse doing all of the Fundamentals exercises.
  • Applications are due Monday, February 17th.

Video Tips:

  • At the start of your video, give us a brief intro. Tell us about your horse and what you need help with.
  • Briefly demonstrate each Fundamentals exercise in order with no audio or talking.
  • Videos must be live footage – no picture slideshows will be accepted.
  • Keep your video short. You don’t need to spend more than 1 minute per exercise; we just need to see how your horse responds when you ask him to do each groundwork and riding exercise.

If You’re Chosen:

  • If your horse fits Clinton’s requirements, you’ll be contacted by a Downunder Horsemanship team member at the end of February/beginning of March.
  • The filming is scheduled to take place at the ranch in Stephenville, Texas, April 1st and 2nd. You will be responsible for getting yourself and your horse to the ranch for filming.
  • If you’re chosen for filming, your horse will stay at the ranch in a clinic run that includes a two-sided shelter, lockable storage area and an automatic waterer. You will also be welcome to utilize one of the ranch’s RV spaces.
  • Along with having Clinton work with your horse, chosen applicants will receive a free year of No Worries Club premium membership.
