Performance Horse Split Reins Are Back

0401_01

In the Dirt-Road Training Series, the clinicians ride their colts in our performance horse split reins. You noticed and sent us emails, messages on social media and called the office asking if we’d ever consider bringing the split reins back to our store so you could purchase a set. We listened and put your idea into motion!

Our performance horse reins are perfect for when you’re ready to finesse your horsemanship and feel as a rider. The reins are made of the same high-quality yachting rope as our mecate reins, but they feature a thinner diameter to offer lighter contact and more precise cues. Each split rein has a leather popper to give it a bit of weight. The reins attach to a bridle with the performance horse slobber straps, which are designed specifically to accommodate the reins’ smaller diameter.

The performance horse split reins are available now on the Downunder Horsemanship e-store in white and black.
