Horses have always been a part of Hannah’s life. Growing up, she spent countless hours at the racetrack alongside her father, who trains Standardbred pacers. Her passion for riding continued to grow, and by age 10, she had joined Pony Club, becoming an avid eventer and showjumper.
As an adult, Hannah purchased a mare named Tess who would ultimately change the direction of her horsemanship journey. While talented, Tess was extremely forward and reactive, making her difficult to ride and manage.
“She was always on the muscle, especially when jumping,” Hannah says. “I was looking for answers, searching online and came across Downunder Horsemanship. What stood out to me was how clear the instruction was. I started applying the Method to my mare, and her transformation was huge.”
The results exceeded Hannah’s expectations. Tess went from being a horse she struggled to confidently ride to one her children could safely enjoy. More importantly, the experience showed Hannah the power of a structured training program and gave her a new understanding of horsemanship.
Convinced by the results, Hannah began applying the Method to other horses. No matter the breed, discipline or personality, she noticed the same positive changes.
“I’ve used the Method on horses with many different personalities,” she says. “The common result is that the horses are quieter, more respectful and more confident.”
It didn’t take long for others to notice the difference in the horses she was working with. As word spread, Hannah began helping other horse owners achieve better results with their horses.
“Having a career with horses was always the ultimate dream,” Hannah says. “I was even a constable in the New South Wales Police Force for a while with the goal of becoming a mounted officer.”
Eventually, life led Hannah to establish her own business, where she now trains horses for the public across multiple disciplines and teaches lessons. As her business grew, so did her desire to continue improving her skills and deepen her understanding of the Method.
“I believe if you want exceptional results, you need to learn from people who are operating at that level,” Hannah says. “I came to the Academy to be challenged, corrected and pushed to improve. I wanted to refine my skills and understanding of the Method and become the best horseman and instructor I’m capable of being.”
Today, Hannah is passionate about helping horse owners gain confidence, build stronger partnerships with their horses and achieve their goals. Having experienced how the Method can transform both horses and people, she is committed to sharing that knowledge with others while continuing to grow as a horseman and instructor.
“I genuinely believe in the Method and the results it produces,” Hannah says. “I’ve seen firsthand how it changes horses and people by giving them clear structure and consistency.”
