Protect What Matters Most

Protecting your horses’ legs is one of the most important things you can do for their over well-being. It’s something we take seriously when training our horses at the ranch. The correct leg protection helps to prevent concussion or interference if one leg hits or brushes against another during a high-intensity maneuver.

For everyday training, Clinton and our team of trainers use Classic Equine’s Legacy System Boots. Clinton started using the boots almost 20 years ago and has found them to be the best on the market when it comes to protecting his horses’ legs.

Legacy System Boots are made of 100% virgin, perforated neoprene, which allows a horse’s legs to breathe and heat to escape. A shock-absorbing splint pad gives maximum protection to the horse’s splint bones, tendons and other soft tissues, and guards against crossfiring injuries. A patented Cradle Fetlock System provides support to the lower limbs by offering a double layer of shock-absorbing neoprene.

“When Classic Equine designed the Legacy Boot, they thought of everything and did many field trials to create the perfect boot,” Clinton says. “Not only do the boots protect your horses’ legs, but they’re durable and built to stay in place and do their job.”

The boots are designed with an extended layer of tough, bulletproof material fitted over the cup area, where the most wear-and-tear occurs to ensure that they withstand daily use. An aggressive hook-and-loop closure gives peace of mind that the boots stay secure.

Get the Right Fit
An important thing to keep in mind about leg protection is that using the wrong boots or putting them on incorrectly can cause more harm than good. A too-tight wrap will constrict blood supply and a too-loose wrap can cause the boot to slip. A boot that is too tight in one spot and too loose in another can also cause inconsistent pressure which leads to injuries. If you have any questions about what type of leg protection to use on your horse, it’s best to consult your equine veterinarian.

Now through September 25th, when you buy a pair of front and hind Legacy System Boots, you’ll receive a free pair of DY-NO Bell Boots.
