Sit Down With Rawhide Braider Jay Adcock

0813_01

Master rawhide braider Jay Adcock joins Clinton on the Uncut & Real Raw podcast to share how his upbringing and years spent working on ranches encouraged his craftsmanship and built his career. Throughout the episode, you’ll be regaled with good cowboy stories and great tack.

Jay was raised in Oklahoma where his grandfather inspired him to work with leather and rawhide when he was a young boy. It was a passion that followed Jay throughout his life and a skill that he honed while cowboying with large outfits on the West Coast.

Today, Jay lives in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, where he runs his custom rawhide business, braiding everything from quirts and bridles to jewelry. After years of perfecting his craft, his rawhide creations are highly sought after in the western performance horse world and used by riders competing on the biggest stages.

A member of the prestigious Traditional Cowboy Arts Association, Jay’s work will be on display and available at the TCAA’s Exhibition and Sale that takes place September 27 and 28 at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. For information to attend the event, visit the National Cowboy Museum website.
